About us

DStem Lab — in full, Udruga Dugo Selo STEM Lab — is a non-profit association for STEM education of children and youth. The “DS” in our name stands for Dugo Selo: this is our home, where we hold our workshops and where we want technology to be within every child's reach.

We bring together mentors, parents and enthusiasts who believe science is best learned hands-on — by building, programming and exploring. We start in autumn 2026.

We are supported by Dugo Selo High School, which sponsors us with space and equipment — we are grateful for their support and trust.

What we do

Robotics is at the core of our programmes, and around it we build the wider STEM: science, technology, engineering and mathematics — through play, projects and competitions.

The first workshops

Workshops for children 10-14 years old: a first encounter with robotics and programming through play.

All primary-school ages

Expanding to all primary-school ages: clubs, projects and preparation for competitions.
Within ~3 years

High-schoolers

Mentoring for their own projects and an introduction to STEM careers for high-school students.
